Our location
Chalet Saskatchewan is in Les Praz, approximately 20 mins' walk from the centre of Chamonix (or 5 mins by car/bus/taxi). It's on the sunny side of the valley, well away from the road and is just 100m from the Flégère cable car, the mega-friendly Ravanel ski hire shop and the golf course.

The accommodation is extremely flexible. It can comfortably fit 8 people (9-10 if you know each other well...) - whether friends, colleagues, couples or families.
Lounging, eating and cooking
Most of the downstairs is given over to an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room. It is fully furnished, comfortable and attractively done up. There is an open log fire, a large TV, a DVD player and a mini hi-fi system. There are 50+ DVDs to keep you zombified (feel free to bring your own), as well as plenty of English books and magazines (mostly about wine).
The kitchen area includes a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, built-in hob, oven and microwave.
Snoozing
We have 4 bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 ('The Pompidou Room', named after its brightly painted pipes) is downstairs and has 2 bunks. [Sleeps 2, 310cm x 250cm]
Bedroom 2 ('The En-suite Room', named, er, after its en-suite shower room) is on the first landing. It has a queen-size double plus 2 bunks - ideal for a family, sharers or a couple who like having their own bathroom. [Sleeps 2-4, 400cm x 270cm]
Bedroom 3 (imaginatively named 'The Balcony Room') is on the second landing. It has a massive super-king double, 2 bunks, plus high ceilings and a balcony looking out at Mont Blanc. It's perfect for a family, sharers or a couple who like a big bed and a view... [Sleeps 2-4, 470cm x 380cm]
Bedroom 4 ('The Mezzanine Room') lies on a mezzanine at the top of the house. It has 2 single beds, which can be pushed together to make a double if desired. Note: this room has reduced ceiling height. [Sleeps 2, 440cm x 270cm]
We provide all bedding and towels.
Washing
In total, there are 2 bathrooms (one en-suite) and 3 WCs. The master bathroom has a luxurious large corner bath/shower, two sinks and a loo. There is an additional separate WC on the first landing and one downstairs.
Outside
Double patio doors lead outside to the sunny garden/deck area. Here, we built a wooden deck and stuck in a 5-person hot tub. Chalet PT was one of the first chalets in Chamonix with a tub - quite a few have since followed. What else beats a beer in the tub after a great day on the mountain...?
In the summer, the deck is perfect for lounging in the sun, enjoying a BBQ, a dip in the 'slightly less hot tub' or just admiring the jaw-dropping views of the Mont Blanc massif.
At the front of the house, there is a storage room for skis, boards and boots. There is plenty of parking available outside.
Prices are for the whole chalet for 7 nights accommodation, fully catered (breakfast, afternoon tea, 4-course dinner with fab vino) for 6 nights unless otherwise stated. Our weeks run Sun-Sun, tho' we may have some flexibility. Contact us if you're looking for a shorter break, self-catered accommodation or don't want to book the whole chalet (per person prices also available).
Prices exclude flights, insurance, airport transfers, lift passes, equipment hire, guiding and instruction. We can arrange minibus transfers from a range of airports - contact us for a quote.
We accept payment by bank transfer or cheque to my Euro bank account in France or by VISA or Mastercard credit/debit card. (We reserve the right to levy a surcharge of 2% for payments made by credit/debit card.)
