Chamonix Chalet description Named after the waterfall that runs through the garden, Chalet Cascade is a beautiful, perfectly located ski chalet, full of unique features. The most striking aspect of this chalet is the large, open plan living space, which is filled with natural light from the tall French windows covering the entire length of the side wall, this light and airy space provides a wonderful setting for your evening meal and gives you a glorious view of the mountains from your breakfast table. Behind the chalet you can see the Prarion gondola passing overhead and it is a short walk, or if snow conditions and skills permit - ski, through the woods down to the bottom of the Prarion lift, happily you can also ski back near to the chalet by following a woodland trail splitting off the "Aillouds" blue run and following this to where it joins the road past the chalet. There are five spacious bedrooms each with their own shower or bath and three also have their own wc. A mezzanine floor in one of the rooms makes for an excellent family room or a good space for a group of friends. The chalet is originally styled, with eye-catching features such as the hanging bed upstairs and the hand made brushed steel chimney breast above the large open fire in the living room. These compliment perfectly the modern conveniences such as the large flat screen TV with DVD, Nintendo Wii and the fully equipped kitchen. The Jacuzzi on the outside deck is the perfect place to relax before dinner after a day on the slopes as you watch the sun dip below the ever impressive Chamonix mountain range. Chalet Cascade is a charming property in a spectacular setting. What more could you want from a holiday property.

Holiday comments Hello Kevin,
I'm glad you have prompted me to let you know how we got on- I did fully intend to let you know what a fabulous time we had and haven't got round to it.
First of all let me say how utterley amazing the Chalet was - everyone agrees that it combined all mod cons/conveniences and facilities with a genuinely unique and charming style.
The Chalet was warm and spacious with plenty of hot water and the room/bed arrangement suited our two families with lots of kids (albeit large ones). The owner Marc was very amenable and helpful - we had a few problems with the hot tub not getting warm enough but it got sorted. A word of caution for those visiting the Chalet is that due to all the old timber used in its construction, a few of us aquired some splinters - not enough to spoil the enjoyment but could perhaps be a problem for smaller children.
The location was great because those who were keen (too keen for me!) could be up and out on the slopes (without the need for cars) just as the Gondolas began to whirr into action and then be back in time for breakfast by which time the slightly lazier members of the families would be rareing to go. We were fantastically lucky with the weather and snow conditions which also made for our best ski holiday yet (been to Chamonix 5 or 6 times).
If I can help with anything else feedback wise please let me know. Thank you so much for bringing this Chalet to our attention. We would definately use it again should we all decide to travel again together. It has been a pleasure doing business with you as they say!
Thanks again,
Kind Regards Janet
