Chalet introduction Skiers Lodge is ideally located in the world cup ski area of Les Houches which is one of the main ski areas in the Chamonix Valley.
Under the fabulous panorama of the Mont-Blanc chain, with soaring peaks and sweeping glaciers, our chalet is in a privileged position - right on the downhill piste so you can ski to the door! - and just a short 200m level walk to the cable car and four-man chair lift. Our chalet welcomes individuals, couples, families and friends, and can also accommodate groups of up to 12 people. The chalet is self catered.
The chalet has all the modern facilities that you would expect, together with plenty of home comforts to help make your stay a little bit more special. If you're one of our ever growing band of regular 'friends' we look forward to seeing you again - And if you've never tried us before, join us this season... You'll be pleasantly surprised! Accommodation.
The Skier's Lodge sleeps up to a maximum of 12 people. The chalet consists of three floors and has been extended over the years. In autumn 2005 we completed a major refurbishment which included new en-suite facilities, wetroom, sauna, and new lounge with comfy sofas, together with the renewal of all electrics, the installation of fire doors and a hotel standard fire alarm and smoke detection system. Lounge & Bar. We now have a large separate lounge area with comfy sofas for relaxing, complete with recessed bar, PC with internet broadband, our new widescreen 50" plasma TV with Video/HD upscaled DVD, and Dolby Digital 6.1 Cinema Surround Sound system.
Our Bar is stocked with a variety of spirits, mixers and beers. We have been issued a French Category 5 licence. Operating mainly on an 'honesty' basis we ask you to sign for your drinks and settle up at the end of your stay.
There are tea & coffee making facilities available throughout the day, together with a guest fridge.
WIFI Enabled. Our chalet is covered by WIFI broadband internet if you wish to bring your own laptop with you.
Games Room. Our games room for children and adults alike, has a seating area and Sony PS2, for the addicts amongst us, with its own separate TV and video player. Food. Life in our chalet seems to revolve around meal times, be it hearty breakfasts, relaxed dinners or just a chat at tea time. Start the day with our continental buffet breakfast including toast, boiled eggs and porridge, come home after skiing to a roaring log fire and cake, sandwiches and nibbles, relax in the evening with our three-course 'dinner party' style meals around the large communal table, accompanied by complimentary wine and rounded off with tea or coffee. Chalet Facilities. There are 5 guest bedrooms. On the ground floor is the entrance hall, kitchen, a further bedroom with en-suite shower and hand-basin, the wet room, sauna and separate toilet. A relaxing dining room with log fire, and two sitting areas is also here, which opens up onto a huge elevated terrace providing superb views of the Chamonix Valley mountains and glaciers.
On the lower ground floor is a bedroom with en-suite facilities and a bunkroom with en-suite shower, hand-basin and separate toilet. In addition, located here is the games/cards room, and our lounge/bar with guest fridge as well as patio doors opening out onto our deck with outdoor swimming pool. There's heated boot & ski storage, garden, and ample parking. Winter 2008/09 Tariffs: Updated 12th August 2008
