About the Chalet The Farmhouse is a traditional Savoyard farm dating from 1802, and is ideally located just 400m from the center of the charming village of Les Houches and 200m from the ski lifts. This beautiful, spacious chalet is newly renovated and has been sympathetically restored to retain much of its original charm and atmosphere, with old oak and pine sourced from Romania to compliment the 200 year old beams. The Farmhouse boasts 7 en-suite rooms, either twin or double, and one bunk room. There is a large, double height open plan, drawing and sitting room with a log fire, and French doors that lead out onto a large terrace with views along the Chamonix valley and up to the Aiguille du Midi. Downstairs you will find another large and comfortable living room equipped with a flat-screen TV and stocked with DVDs, videos, books and board games. Should you wish to keep in contact with the outside world there is a laptop with WIFI broadband access throughout the chalet. At this chalet we provide a different cooked and continental breakfast each morning, followed by freshly baked cakes, canapes and a four course evening meal - all of which will be cooked by a professional chef. To complement dinner we also supply a selection of wines, beer and soft drinks. We employ three staff to work at this chalet - a fully trained chef and two hosts/drivers. (The staff live out)
Although the chalet is just 200m from the nearest pistes, we also provide a complementary in-resort minibus service from 8 to 10 am and 4 - 10 pm. So, should you wish to ski the other areas in the valley, or go into Chamonix for apres-ski, your driver will be more than happy to take you there.
