Chalet Bergerie Style

Chalet Bergerie is situated overlooking the pretty alpine village of Les Houches, at the entrance to the Chamonix valley, making it the ideal location for both winter and summer activity holidays alike. It is owned and operated by your hosts, Ian and Barbara, who provide excellent cuisine, first class service, and endeavour to make your stay at Chalet Bergerie a memorable one.

Whatever the theme of your holiday, be it activity or relaxation, Ian and Barabara have created the perfect setting to enjoy clean mountain air, spectacular scenery, and to discover the beauty of the Chamonix valley whilst retaining all of the comforts offered by Chalet Bergerie.

Chalet Bergerie Accommodation

1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, 1 double and 1 twin room with en-suite shower and washbasin.

For your comfort, all rooms are equipped with sumptuous towels and bathrobes, hairdryer, heated towel rail and shaver socket.

For those of you who enjoy fine food and wine, look no further: here at Chalet Bergerie we pride ourselves in serving delicious, mouth-watering meals complimented by specially selected wines from the local Savoy area and other wine growing regions of France.

Start the day with a nourishing and copious breakfast including cereals, fresh bread and croissants, yoghurt, fruit juice and a cooked dish (daily).

Afternoon Tea

After a day on the slopes, back to Chalet Bergerie for: Freshly baked cake, Tea, coffee or chocolate

Relax in the evening with a pre-dinner drink and home made canapés

Join your hosts Ian and Barbara

and savour a 4 course meal with fine "Appellation Controlée" wine, coffee and chocolates

(daily - except on full week bookings when your hosts take one night off)

Typical menu

Crispy mountain ham with avocado, sitting on a bed of mixed salad leaves with a hot tomato and basil dressing

Roast breast of duck with a port and redcurrant sauce
Dauphinoise potatoes
Florets of fresh broccoli drizzled with sesame oil

Platter of French cheeses served with fresh walnuts and crusty bread

Soft nut meringue, topped with crème fraiche and seasonal fruits accompanied with a rich fruit coulis.
