About the chalet
Our chalet occupies a prime spot in the popular village of Les Houches, the host of Ski World Cup and the area of the most extensive network of pistes in the whole of the Chamonix valley. Our chalet has just gone through a major reconstruction whose result is both unique and unmissable. While retaining the traditional shapes and volumes of local architecture its coat is decidedly modern, making it stand out among its neigbours. Another reason why you can't miss Arbre is its excellent location.
By the main road half way between the main square and the local cable car it's three minutes' walk to everything you'll need.
Chalet Arbre offers luxury catered accomodation in the winter and self catered accomodation in the summer. It comprises five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, dining room, lounge with fireplace, comfortable living room with a large LCD TV and home cinema, ski room, sauna and hot tub.
There is a self-contained apartment on the lower ground floor which is rented out on a yearly basis.
The chalet is booked for Christmas and New Year's week and for all the weeks in February 2015.

BEDROOMS
Our chalet offers accomodation in five bedrooms - one on the ground floor and four in the attic. Please note that the latter have sloping ceilings.
The two larger bedrooms in the attic (No. 3 and 4) are spacious enough to be family rooms with their huge beds and attractive modern sofas which convert into comfortable sofa-beds.
All bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms with large modern showers, sinks and toilets. The beds are super king size and you would never guess they can be converted into twins. Bedroom No. 2, our smallest, has a king size bed that can not be split into a twin. Our handmade spring mattresses are thick, firm and comfortable. All the pillows and duvets are filled with anti-allergenic hollow fibre and covered in luxury cotton linen. There are flat screen LCD TVs with French digital channels in all the bedrooms.
SOCIALISING SPACE
The ground floor of the chalet provides ample space for the time our guests spend together. Be it a pre-dinner drink with canapes by the roaring fire in the lounge, top notch dinner at the table for twelve in the dining room or an evening of chat and entertainment in our comfortable living room with TV and home cinema, you will feel like guests of honour in a large private house.
All our furniture has been custom made to ensure the individual rooms serve their purpose as best they can, creating an ideal space where you can relax and unwind. The lounge and dining room have their own stereo connected to ceiling speakers so music can be enjoyed here independently of the living room, which has its own system. You can connect your iPods and iPhones to both stereos - this one as well as the one in the living room.
Our gleaming stainless steel professional kitchen is situated in the corner of the ground floor separated from the rest of the communal space with glass sliding doors enabling you, should you wish, to see Luigi - our amazing Czech chef with an Italian name - hard at work over his pots, pans, plates and chopping boards.
For your comfort there is a separate WC on the ground floor.
WELLNESS ZONE
The lower ground floor is our chalet's pleasure zone as well as a launch pad for your sports activities. The custom made sauna with its huge double shower will have no trouble chasing even the most deeply embedded chills out of your body after a day on the slopes or trails. Our spacious ski room with its separate entrance and its brand new Wintersteiger boot drier will make the start of your skiing day rather pleasant with your toes toasty and the entrance door handy for your departure for the slopes. The same door leads to the garden where - just a few steps away - you can immerse yourself into the bubbles and massage streams of our hot tub for 6 persons. Floorplan.
PARKING & TRANSPORT
There are four parking spaces right by the chalet. Our prices include transport to and from the slopes outside Les Houches. We provide one run there in the morning and one back in the afternoon. Our VW Caravelle minibus has a capacity of 8 passengers so two runs may be necessary. The nearest bus stop is a three minutes' walk away.
LOCATION
Chalet Arbre is located in the centre of Les Houches - right on the main road about half way between the main square and the Bellevue cable car, on of two gateways into the Les Houches skiing area. The square is the hub of local activity with a church, town hall, tourist center, Carefour super market and several bars and restaurants. Going from the square towards the town of Chamonix (5 km away) there is a one kilometer stretch of the road between the square and the largest local supermarket - Super U - lined with a number of further bars, restaurants and shops. There is a pharmacy, gym, laundrette and a number of real estate agents. Going in the other direction from the chalet you will first get to the Bellevue cable car station surrounded by several shops and a number of cafes, restaurants and bars. From there it is a 10 minutes' walk to the Prarion bubble lift - the other gateway to the slopes of Les Houches. There are yet more shops, cafes, restaurants and bars around there.
