About the Chalet
Located in the tiny 19th Century village of Montroc at the end of the famous “Vallée de Chamonix”, yet only 5 minutes from Argentière and 15 minutes from the lights and bustle of Chamonix itself, our traditional 7 bedroom alpine chalet has everything you need for the complete vacance en montagne. After a full day on (or off) the piste, with a glass of wine in your hand, relax in the hot tub or by the log-fire and gaze out through our huge picture window, as the setting sun turns Mont-Blanc and the spires of the Chamonix Aiguilles from gold to rose-pink … until the first stars appear……
The Chalet was built in 1949 by the owners grand father who fell in love with it’s unique location. It sleeps 14/18 people very comfortably.
Miscellaneous:
Many English and French books, puzzles and games can be found on the bookshelves.
TV, DVD player, VCR, stereo with lots of CDs. Disco ball with 4 projectors and good sound system.
A large, brand new kitchen, with all you need for cooking, in addition to the special items you need to prepare “la fondue” (melted cheese with white wine), “la raclette” (another kind of melted cheese you pour on top of baked potatoes and ham) or simply “les crêpes”.
A washing machine is also available in the basement.
To conclude, our chalet can sleep uo to 18 and we are sure you’ll love it as much as we do.

The Chalet really was fantastic, far larger and brighter than the photo’s suggest, for a group of 16 it was spacious, never felt like we were stepping on each others toes. Christophe, the chalet host and his family were so helpful and relaxed without ever being invasive. The location was close enough to Chamonix to go out but far enough out to avoid the crowds and cues. With the conditions being as they were Christophe and the chalet rescued the trip, we’ll most certainly be returning for years to come, a total gem.

Wunderschönes Chalet in ruhiger Lage in Montroc. Skiabfahrt aus dem Gebiet Le Balme bis ans Haus möglich. Skibus nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Das Chalet ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich, vor allem die Abende haben vor dem offenen Kamin haben wir sehr genossen. Toller Whirlpool mit Blick auf den Mont Blanc und die umliegenden Gletscher. Gut ausgestattete große Küche. Die unkomplizierten Eigentümer sind sehr nett und helfen immer gerne bei Tourenplanungen. Wir waren schon 3 mal da und kommen gerne wieder.

Het was een heel schoon en gezellig huis, met alles erop en eraan. In elk hoekje lag wel weer een interessant boek of een spelletje. Het uitzicht was fenomenaal. De ski-pistes lagen niet naast de deur, maar de bus- en treinhalte was vlakbij. Als ervaren skier, kon je wel naar het huis terugskieen. Een ontzettend vriendelijke eigenaar maakte de vakantie compleet.
